Le Balcon - Alphonse Cemin

Pianist, choirmaster, and conductor Alphonse Cemin is one of the co-founders of Le Balcon, a flexible ensemble founded in 2008 in Paris. He studied at the Conservatoire National de la Musique (CNR) in Boulogne-Billancourt and Paris, as well as at the Conservatoire National de Musique de Paris (CNSM) in Paris. He regularly performs in recital with artists such as Julie Fuchs, Damien Pass, and Marianne Crebassa. In 2014, he became artistic director of Les Lundis Musicaux at the Athénée. Alphonse Cemin is an HSBC laureate of the Aix-en-Provence Festival Academy and received the Stockhausen Kurse Kürten performance prize in 2013. In 2017, he received the Gabriel Dussurget Prize from the Aix-en-Provence Festival.
