Claire Luquiens began her musical studies at the Turin Conservatory. She then studied at the Paris Conservatory with Vincent Lucas, at the Versailles Conservatory with Christel Rayneau, and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris in the class of Sophie Cherrier and Vincent Lucas. She regularly plays with the Paris Opera Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, and the Orchestre National de Lille. Since 2009, Claire Luquiens has been principal flute at the Balcon, with whom she participated, among other things, in the creation of Le Marteau sans maître sonorisé, with the support of Pierre Boulez. Recently, she premiered Incantare by Justina Repečkaitė and performed Flight for solo flute by George Benjamin at the Théâtre de l’Athénée. Since 2013, she has also played with the Almaviva ensemble. In the Licht cycle, she performed, among others, the role of the Black Cat Kathinka in Samstag aus Licht (Kathinka's Gesang als Luzifers-Requiem) in 2019, and Ave in Montag aus Licht (Evas-Zauber), roles for which she perfected her skills with Kathinka Pasveer.
