Damien Pass holds degrees in voice from the Yale School of Music and the Oberlin Conservatory. He furthered his training at the Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Paris and has since performed throughout Europe in a diverse repertoire, from baroque to contemporary. He recently sang the lead role of Jacques Jaujard in the world premiere of Julien Bilodeau’s La Beauté du monde at the Opéra de Montréal, and made his debut at the Salzburg Festival as Oberlin in Rihm’s Jakob Lenz and, as principal bass, in Honegger’s Jeanne d’Arc au bûcher. Other notable roles include the role of Polystopheles in Simon Steen Andersen's Don Giovanni in Hell at the Opéra du Rhin and the Copenhagen Opera, the title role in Daan Janssens' Brodeck at the Antwerp Opera, Stockhausen's Sirius at the Strasbourg Musica Festival and Papageno in The Magic Flute at the operas of Rennes, Nantes and Angers.
