Le Balcon - Emmanuelle Grach

A graduate performer and choreographer from the Paris Conservatory (CNSMDP), Emmanuelle Grach joined Le Balcon in 2009. That same year, she founded her own company, Nevermind. At Le Balcon, she performed and was involved in the production of Arthur Lavandier's De la terreur des hommes (2011). She also performed in Peter Eötvös' opera Le Balcon (based on the work of Jean Genet), directed by Damien Bigourdan. Emmanuelle Grach also maintains a close collaboration with the Karlheinz Stockhausen Academy. In 2013, she won First Prize with Examen, an excerpt from Donnerstag aus Licht. From July 2015 to October 2016, she performed the role of Michael in Donnerstag aus Licht, directed by Lydia Steier at the Basel Theater, which won the Opernwelt Award for European Production (2016). In 2018-2019, in addition to participating in Donnerstag aus Licht and Samstag aus Licht with Le Balcon, she took part in the Aus Licht project, which presented half of the scenes from the Licht cycle at the Gashouder in Amsterdam.
Since September 2018, Emmanuelle Grach has performed Stockhausen's Inori on various occasions, including at the Philharmonie de Paris and the Salzburg Festival in 2020 with Le Balcon.

Furthermore, she was a dancer with Hervé Robbe's company from 2013 to 2015 and participated in the creation of In Extenso Danse de 6 starting in 2019.
