Juliette Herbet

Born in Nantes in 1982, Juliette began playing the saxophone at the age of 8. After studying at the Nantes Conservatory, she joined the CRR of Boulogne-Billancourt in the class of Jean-Michel Goury and obtained her DEM in 2005. She then perfected her skills with Marie-Bernadette Charrier at the Bordeaux Conservatory. At the same time, Juliette obtained a DEM in double bass at the CRR of Nantes, then at the CRR of Boulogne-Billancourt in the class of Daniel Marillier. Very interested in creation, she regularly works with composers and has thus created Fluxus by Luis Rizo Salom (solo baritone saxophone), Brujeria by Pedro Garcia-Velasquez (alto saxophone and electronics) and La palabra del deseo by Marco Suarez Cifuentes. Juliette has been a saxophonist at Le Balcon since the ensemble's creation in 2008. She also regularly plays double bass with the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine. She is currently working on various musical and stage creation projects, with Marco Suarez-Cifuentes (composer), Mathilde Bost (director) and Nieto, with Juan Camilo Hernandez (composer) and Michele Gurrieri (director), and with Michel Aymard (actor and director).
