Manuel Nuñez Camelino

Manuel Nuñez Camelino was born in Argentina. He entered the Higher Institute of Art at the Teatro Colón in 2002. He made his debut at the Teatro Avenida in Buenos Aires as Beppe in I Pagliacci. He was a finalist in the first "New Voices of the Teatro Colón" Competition. In 2005, he performed in Don Quixote and Lucia di Lammermoor at the Teatro Colón. In 2005, he was a semi-finalist in the "Neue Stimmen" International Competition in Gütersloh, Germany.
From 2006 to 2008, he was in residence at Cnipal. In 2008, he participated in productions of La Vida Breve and Samson et Dalila at the Opéra-Théâtre de Saint-Étienne and sang Phoebus in Louise Bertin's La Esmeralda at the Radio France and Montpellier Festivals. In 2008, he joined the Atelier Lyrique of the Paris Opera, with which he performed in concert in Bucharest, at the Auditorium du Louvre, at the Palais Garnier with the Paris Opera Orchestra, and at the Villa Medici in Rome. He sang Paolino in The Secret Marriage and the Teapot and the Little Old Man in L'Enfant et les Sortilèges. In 2009, he sang the role of Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola at the Vichy Opera. He recently performed Tonio/La Fille du Régiment at the Montpellier Opera, a Trojan in Idomeneo at the Paris Opera, and Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola at the Avignon Opera.
With Le Balcon, he has participated in numerous productions, including Peter Eötvös's Le Balcon and Arthur Lavandier's The First Murder. In December 2016, he sang Mozart's Requiem under the direction of Maxime Pascal in Salzburg.
