Safir was introduced to music by playing the guitar. Enrolled at the age of 12 in classical guitar classes, noticed at the end-of-year audition, his musical vocation became obvious. In 2004, he obtained a degree in music at the Pierre Mendès France faculty in Grenoble, and at the same time a diploma in harmony and jazz guitar in Chambéry, he moved between vocal ensembles and instrumental groups but it was the perspective of opera singer that emerged and would never leave him. He trained at the Grenoble Conservatory then at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, upon graduation he joined the Académie de l'Opéra-Comique until 2015. From 2017 to 2019, he played Alfredo in Traviata, Vous méritez un avenir meilleur, created at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris and toured internationally hundreds of times. He was recently heard at the Philharmonie de Paris in Die Massnahme, an opera by Hans Eisler created for the first time in France, with Séquenza 9.3 (Catherine Simonpiétri), Dafné: a creation by Wolfgang Mitterer with Les Cris de Paris (Geoffroy Jourdain), Sonntag aus Licht, Stockhausen's final opera with Le Balcon (Maxime Pascal) and Donnerstag aus Licht from the same cycle at the Philharmonie de Paris.
