Vincent Vantyghem

Vincent Vantyghem discovered singing with bassist Stephen Richardson, studied in Germany with Rudolf AUE, and then pursued the teachings of Alain Buet, Margreet Honig, and Valérie Millot. He participated in masterclasses at the Royaumont Foundation and the Villecroze International Music Academy.
He has performed in recitals in the foyers of the Lille Opera with Christophe Simonet (Beethoven's Scottish Songs, Schubert's Schwanengesang). He has sung as a soloist in numerous oratorios under the direction of Yves Parmentier and Jean-Marie Puissant (requiems by Fauré, Brahms, Mozart, Carmina Burana, the Mass in B minor, etc.).
At the opera, he sang Jupiter in Offenbach's Orphée aux enfers conducted by Jacques Schab (La Clef des Chants), Eutyro in Cavalli's Ercole Amante conducted by Gabriel Garrido (Ambronay Academy). He created and sang the lyrical and burlesque fantasy L'Amour aux Rayons X (On-Off Company/La Clef des Chants). In June 2007, he was Maitre Ducorbeau in the contemporary operetta The Witches' Trial (Cie On Off/La Clef des Chants L.PETIT/E.OLIVIER), the 2nd Prince Tyrien in Cadmus and Hermione by Lully (Poème Harmonique Vincent Dumestre/B.Lazar Opéra Comique), the 2nd notary in La Périchole by Offenbach (Lille Opera/J.C Casadesus), the Musiklehrer in Ariadne auf Naxos by Strauss (Royaumont Foundation/A.Engel), Zaretski in Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky (Lille Opera/P.Verrot/JY.Ruf), Toccato in The Electromagnetic Singing Lesson by Offenbach (The Dreamer of Them/La Clef des Chants), Calcante in La Bohémienne by Favart (Les Paladins/J.Corréas-Opéra Théâtre de Lyon/A. Fornier), the Sewer Man in The Secret Boot of Terrasse at the Théâtre de l'Athénée with the company Les Brigands. He is the Soothsayer in Rousseau's The Soothsayer of the Village in Istanbul (Les Paladins/J. Corréas). In July 2012, he performed the title role in Alban Berg's Wozzeck at the Royaumont acting masterclasses under the direction of André Engel. He is Tisiphone in Hippolyte et Aricie with Pygmalion (Raphaël Pichon) at the Bordeaux Opera and the Royal Opera of Versailles in 2013. He plays the General in Le Balcon by Jean Genet and Peter Eötvös with the ensemble Le Balcon (M. Pascal) at the Théâtre de l'Athénée, and the Father in Kafka's The Metamorphosis composed by Mickaël Lévinas with Le Balcon (M. Pascal). In 2016, he sang Gavard in Maurice Yvain's Yes at the Café de la Danse (Frivolités Parisiennes). He created the role of Ramirez in Bureau 470, a "bureaucratic opera" composed by Tomas Bordalejo and conducted by Alphonse Cemin at the CRD in Gennevilliers. His projects include Enrico in Isola Disabitata in Leuven with La Petite Bande (S.KUIJKEN), the Other at the Lille Opera in Arthur Lavandier's Le Premier meurtre, and Lenz in Rihm's Jakob Lenz at the Dialoge Festival in Salzburg with Le Balcon. He will be seen again in 2017 in Crise de Voix written by Gilles Defacque (Théâtre du Prato/La Clef des Chants). At the same time, in autumn 2012 he created and co-wrote Les 20èmes Rougissants, a spectacular recital from the interwar period, and wrote the libretto for Un Vol de Bourdons (musical organ theatre – ZATBC / Le Rêveur d’Eux / Festival Contrepoints 62).
