"These are the questionable teachings of Professor Bad Trip, who clearly loves psychedelic and progressive rock as well as the avant-garde of the techno scene", wrote the composer Fausto Romitelli, explaining the expressive soundscapes of his triptych Professor Bad Trip.

Inspired by Henri Michaux, a Belgian author and artist who became famous for his LSD and mescaline experiments, Romitelli composed this three-part work. The colourful worlds of intoxication described by Michaux fitted perfectly with the music swirling around in the mind of the composer, who died in 2004.
