Safir Behloul explores an eclectic repertoire as both a singer and guitarist. He trained at the Conservatoire de Grenoble and the Conservatoire de Paris.
He made his debut in Haydn’s The Creation and in the role of the Evangelist in Bach’s Christmas Oratorio at the Cathedral of Notre- Dame de Paris. He performed on the stage of the Compiègne Theater and the Opéra Comique as Jean-Paul and Lallumette in O my Bel Inconnu by Reynaldo Hahn. Safir has performed several times at the Théâtre du Châtelet, notably in a show dedicated to Rossini, and in a French operetta programme. In 2011, he participated in the European tour of the Ambronay European Baroque Academy, which performed JS Bach’s Mass in B minor. In 2012 he sang the role of Cynire in Glück’s Echo and Narcissus under the direction of Julien Chauvin at the Conservatoire de Paris. He regularly plays the role of Tamino in Mozart’s The Magic Flute.
